About Epidote

Epidote Limited and its associate companies supply software solutions for wireline log analysis and seismic data processing. We license our existing products and build on these to provide bespoke solutions. Epidote Limited was founded in 1999 to develop and commercialise software for the multi-finger caliper wireline logging tool. The company continues to develop and support the MIPS package, along with plug-ins and standalone software products.

Steve Helmore is MD of Epidote Limited, based in Aberdeen Scotland. He has an MA in Engineering Science from Oxford University and an MSc in Geophysics from Durham University. Steve has 30 years experience working in wireline logging, seismic processing, geoscience consultancy and software development.

Epidote has built its software base both internally and by outsourcing to independent developers.

Andy Scrase owns Scrase Consulting Ltd who specialise in software development and training for the Microsoft.NET platform. Andy has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry ranging from scientific and academic applications through to line-of-business software. See http://www.scrase.com

Lynn Reid works on customised scientific software through Thigma Consulting. Lynn has working experience in a wide variety of disciplines, including hazardous waste groundwater modelling, unsaturated irrigation, vertical seismic profile analysis, geo-statistics, supercomputer simulations and astrophysics.
