MIPSReport will design and assemble the various sections of a multi-finger caliper interpretation report and export the complete document as a PDF file.

A full report consists of some or all of:

  • ·         Text containing the introduction, analysis and interpretation
  • ·         Graphical representations (Histograms) of joint based penetration or thickness data
  • ·         Grids (tables) of joint based penetration or thickness data
  • ·         Displays of selected intervals of log curves
  • ·         Selected cross sections of pipe
  • ·         Images captured from MIPSPro or from scanned data
  • ·         Concluding text

The user can build up and re-use the definition at any stage during data processing and interpretation. When required MIPSReport will make a PDF file with the current report definition.

MIPSPro prepares the various data elements for a report. The user loads, quality controls and corrects field data using the various data processing options. Joint (pipe end) detection is carried out on processed data to determine the collar locations. Using the MIPSPro viewer the user can ‘bookmark’ cross sections and log displays relevant to the interpretation and capture images for the report.

MIPSReport provides an interface to carry out ‘Joint Analysis’ of pipe or collar sections of the pipe based on the processed caliper data and a table of pipe end depths. The user can then build customized tables of joint-by-joint information and illustrate the results using a selection of histograms.

The user can add introduction, analysis and interpretation text before the data section, and concluding text at the end of the report. MIPSReport reads the header, footer and logo information on each page of the report from the project database.
