TDMerge is software designed to merge time/log and time/depth files from memory logging tools. The input and output log formats can be customised to order.

The module includes a graphical analyser to view the depth and selected log data on a common absolute time scale, in order to set the zero time of log acquisition.

TDScan has a semi-automatic pass detection and selection system. Log data is delivered in raw depth/log format, and can be interpolated onto a regular grid for export.

The inputs to this module are a time/log file (recorded into memory down hole) and a time/depth file (recorded in the logging unit on surface). We customise the input filters to client requirements.

The outputs are a depth indexed log file and files for each pass in client specified format for input and further analysis in log viewing packages such as MIPS.

There are controls to set the sensitivity of log pass change detection. Passes and curves can be de-selected before data output.

The goal of the Time/Depth analysis UI is to establish the start time of the memory recorded time/log file. This is done by plotting a raw log and depth data on the same absolute time axis, and identifying key events with known depth (e.g. subtle temperature changes).

A log is selected from the input time/log file for display. The initial start time of the time/log file is set at as the first time in the time/depth file. The timing of the time/log file is adjusted using the ‘Time/Log file zero reference’ controls. Log details can be examined in detail using the ‘zoom controls’.

When the graphical analysis UI is closed the zero reference time for the time/log file is posted to the main Time-Depth merger UI.
